Telemundo Names General Manager of Arizona Stations

Telemundo has named a new president and general manager of the group’s Arizona stations.

Andrew Deschapelles will oversee KTAZ, the Telemundo station in Phoenix and KHRR, the Telemundo station in Tucson.

Deschapelles will oversee all operations including news, sales, marketing and promotions across both stations.

“Andrew is a dedicated local broadcaster and an inspirational leader,” said Martinez. “Having worked as both Vice President of Sales and Interim General Manager of our stations, Andrew has helped our teams launch new newscasts, achieve top market ratings, recruit talented news and sales executives and position KTAZ and KHRR as important avenues for local and national advertisers to connect with our influential Hispanic audiences.

Deschapelles has been acting as the interim general manager since 2017. He joined the Telemundo group in Arizona in 2015 as vice president of sales.

He began his broadcast career at Univision Communications as a Regional Account Manager in 1991. He earned a degree in business administration from the Kogod School of Business at American University.
