Telemundo 33 (KCSO) and Telemundo 51 Fresno (KNSO) have promoted multimedia journalist Miryam Villarreal to main co-anchor of Noticiero Telemundo California at 5, 5:30 and 6 p.m. alongside Guillermo Martínez.

“We are excited to promote Miryam to anchor,” said Adolfo Segura, vice president of news for Telemundo 33 and Telemundo 51 Fresno. “We’ve enjoyed seeing her grow since she joined our team. She brings journalistic knowledge and a humanized approach to storytelling and will continue to be a great asset in connecting with our communities.”

When not on the news desk, Villarreal will host Noticiero Telemundo California Al Momento on the over-the-top platforms: Roku and Fire TV.

Villarreal started her career in 2018 as a reporter and anchor for WUVF-WINK in Fort Myers, Florida as well as working as a traffic reporter and co-host for 96.9 WINK FM. In 2022, she joined Noticiero Telemundo California as multimedia journalist.
