Telemundo El Paso Adds an Hour at 4 P.M.

Telemundo 48 in El Paso in launching two new local weekday newscasts at 4 and 4:30 p.m.

The expanded newscasts will begin on June 11 in conjunction with the launch of a new website and new mobile app.

“For the first time ever, KTDO will deliver El Paso’s audiences more local news than any other Spanish-language station in the market,” said Lorena Castañeda, station manager. “By doubling down on our on-air and digital news offerings, our viewers can now access their local news and information wherever they go.”

Karla Mariscal will anchor the new shows alongside Ivette Sanchez at 4 p.m. and Claudio Herrera at 4:30 p.m. Georgina Terrazas will do weather for both shows as well.

Sanchez has worked as reporter for KTDO for the past six years. This is her first time in a permanent anchor role for the station.
