Telemundo Boston to Start Spanish Language Newscasts

By Kevin Eck

Telemundo Boston (WNEU) says it’s going to start airing Spanish language newscasts later in the summer.

The station says it plans to add staff as part of its plans to air a half hour show at 6:00 p.m. and one at 11:00 p.m.

Telemundo Boston is in the same building as NECN and plans to debut a state of the art newsroom and news set.

“We’re looking to hire talented Spanish-speaking journalists who are committed to providing our Hispanic communities with the information they need, and are ready to join in this unique opportunity and work for a company that is strongly dedicated to serving our communities with best-in-class journalism,” said Mike St. Peter, svp and gm of Telemundo Boston.
