Telemundo 47 New York Adds 2 Reporters

Cristian Benavides and Luis Gerardo Nuñez will join Telemundo 47 (WNJU) New York as reporters for the evening newscasts.

“Cristian and Luis are hard-hitting news reporters,” said vp of news Karen Mendez. “They dig beneath the surface and ask hard questions. I am very happy that they’re part of our team and excited for our viewers to receive their outstanding storytelling and work.”

Benavides comes from Telemundo Phoenix (KTAZ) where he was a reporter. He’s also worked at Telemundo Washington (WZDC), Univision Tampa Bay (WVEA). Nuñez was a reporter at Telemundo 39 Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas. He’s also worked for Telemundo 51 Miami (WSCV). Before that, he was at MundoMax8 (WGEN) in Miami.
