Telemundo 47 has named a new vice president of news.

Effective immediately, Endy Rodriquez will lead day to day operations within the newsroom and begin to expand the station’s partnership with its sister station, WNBC, on joint investigative and consumer news stories.

“I could not be more excited to make this announcement. Endy Rodriguez rose through the ranks with hard work, journalistic excellence and a deep commitment to the Spanish-speaking communities our station proudly serves. He also leads by example and has earned the respect of his colleagues within the newsroom – and beyond,” said Cristina Schwarz, the station’s president and general manager.
