Telemundo East Coast flagship station WNJU Telemundo 47 is launching a new investigative unit.
The team will be lead by Pablo Gutierrez, who has worked at the station since 2012.
“We are adding additional resources and taking Telemundo 47’s commitment to investigative journalism to a whole new level,” said vp of news Karen Mendez. “Our new investigative unit will uncover and report on the questionable practices that may threaten to impact the communities we serve,” “Tough, fair and always professional, Pablo will bring his passion and sharp eye to Telemundo 47 Investiga on behalf of the communities we report for and have been proudly serving for more than 50 years.”
In his new role, Gutierrez will also work on joint investigative projects with the I-Team at sister-station WNBC.
The reports begin airing tonight at 5, 5:30 and 6 p.m.
