By Stephanie Tsoflias Siegel

Tegna owned KUSA in Denver and KARE in Minneapolis took the number one and two spots in local primetime adults 25-54 among all NBC affiliates during the Pyeongchang Olympic games, according to the final Nielsen numbers. KSDK came in fourth and WCNC in seventh place in those rankings.

“As the leading NBC affiliate group, our strong stations gave gold medal performances. We told local stories of impact, produced innovative, compelling content across platforms and created engaging, one-of-a kind marketing and sales solutions to help local advertisers grow their business,” said Lynn Beall, chief operating officer of Tegna.

Bonneville-owned KSL in Salt Lake City was the No. 1 NBC affiliate overall in the household rating.
