Tegna Names Humberto Hormaza GM for Hartford Stations

Humberto Hormaza has been named president and general manager at the Hartford, Ct. Fox and CW affiliate WTIC-WCCT.

Hormaza will be responsible for overseeing the station’s operations across all platforms. In a press release, Tegna also said he would be “leading the station’s focus on community service and driving results for advertisers.”

He joins WTIC-WCCT on March 7 from Entravision Communications Corporation in Orlando, Fla., where he had been the senior vice president and general manager since 2014.

“Humberto is a proven leader with an outstanding track record,” said Larry Delia, SVP, media operations, TEGNA. “I am pleased that he will be joining the talented team in Hartford to lead them in their next chapter of success.”

Before working at Entravision, Hormaza was local sales manager at WJAN and WFUN in Miami where he led the launch of MundoFox. Before that, Hormaza was business development manager at WFOR and WBFS in the Miami-Fort Lauderdale market.
