KWWL morning anchor Teal Jennings is leaving the Waterloo, Iowa NBC affiliate for love.
Jennings is set to marry Navy Lieutenant Chris Yost. The two met in high school.
“Life happens,” said Jennings. “I had thought my career would dictate where my husband and I would end up, but that’s not always the case when you marry into the military. We had planned to get married in 2016, but we knew he was likely going to be deployed overseas, so our plans were made for us.”

Jennings started at KWWL in April 2014. He last day is next Friday.
“We’re obviously going to miss Teal,” said Jim McKernan, KWWL vp and gm. “She’s an Iowa native, well-liked in the community and here at work. We hate to see her leave, but couldn’t be happier for her.”
