#TBT: Storm Track 1996! WNBC’s Urgent Sounding Weather Promo

By Kevin Eck

Sometimes to see where we are, we need to see where we were…or something like that.

And in the spirit of Throwback Thursday, New York NBC owned station WNBC shows us 1996, where we were urgently concerned about Doppler radar and flying things like helicopters, boxes and type.

At the time, “The Weather Experts” were Al Roker, Janice Huff, Joe Witte, and Chris Cimino. While Roker is now with the Today Show and Witte is a researcher with the Goddard Spaceflight Center, both Huff and Cimino are still with the NBC flagship station.
