After just a year at the Tampa station, FOX 13’s consumer reporter is shifting to the anchor desk.
Sorboni Banerjee made the announcement about her promotion on her Facebook page over the weekend.
“Happy to be joining this wonderful weekend team! After a year here at FOX 13 News – Tampa Bay I’ll be adding AM anchor to my job duties,” she said.

The weekend morning anchor spot opened up a few weeks ago when Anjuli Davis left the station. She is now helping her family run their local hot dog stand called, Mel’s Hot Dogs. Her Twitter handle reflects the job change.
Banerjee says she will still do consumer reports for the Fox-owned affiliate.
