T.G. Shuck has joined Lexington, Ky. ABC affiliate WTVQ as chief meteorologist.

This is a return to Lexington for Shuck who worked at CBS affiliate WKYT between 1996 and 2012. Shuck last worked at WHAS in Louisville, where he was the morning meteorologist.

“T.G. is someone with deep roots in the Bluegrass,” said general manager Chris Aldridge. “He’s been with viewers through every type of weather event, good and bad. Central Kentuckians trust him, and we’re honored to have him.”

“We promised big changes and that’s exactly what we’re doing,” said news director Miranda Combs.

Shuck, who went to High School in Lexington, told The Lane Report that he’d been asked by hundreds of viewers when he was coming back. “After 10 years, I can finally say that time is now!” said Shuck.
