KYW has announced Syma Chowdhryhas officially joined the station as a reporter.
Chowdhry has freelanced for the Philadelphia CBS owned station since March. She came to KYW from WWJ-WKBD in Detroit where she had been morning anchor. WWJ dropped its local news show in December 2012.
She started her career at News 14 Carolina in Raleigh, NC, in 2004. She has also worked at News 12 New Jersey.
