KABB anchor and reporter Sylvia Rincon is leaving the San Antonio FOX affiliate.
Rincon told TVSpy she is leaving to work as director of communications at a local school district and added, “It’s a great opportunity that I could not pass up.”
The San Antonio Express-News reports Rincon is the sixth anchor or reporter to leave the station since May.
In the last five months, five well-known news names have departed the local Fox affiliate. The biggest shocker was the sudden exit last month by chief anchorman Michael Valdes, who was a 20-year KABB veteran.
Now, No. 6 is on her way out the door, and I’m hearing rumblings of others who may follow suit.
KABB news director Blaise Labbe confirmed Rincon’s exit with TVSpy and told us the station has seen many staff leave because of “new job opportunities or personal reasons.”
