Stephen Richards is joining WRGB, the CBS affiliate in Albany, NY, as news director. Richards comes from NBC affiliate WHEC in Rochester, NY, where he had been in the same position.
“We are fortunate to have a person of Steve’s professionalism and range of experience joining our management team,” WRGB and WCWN general manager Vincent Nelson said in a statement. “I am confident that Steve will be a solid leader and coach for our news team, and I look forward to working with him as we continue to grow our audience across all screens, and build the news station of the future here at CBS 6.”
