Veteran reporter Stephanie Lucero is leaving CBS owned Dallas station KTVT.
According to Dallas area media blogger Ed Bark, who first reported the news, Lucero told viewers on facebook she “decided to follow my heart and move in a new direction.”
Lucero has been with KTVT since 1997. She told TVSpy she started out a the secretary to the news director at KNBC in Los Angeles, before moving on to KCRL (now KRNV) in Reno, Nevada. She’s also worked at KLAS in Las Vegas, KDFW in Dallas and WDSU in New Orleans.

“My sons are native Texans and we have so many great ties to North Texas,” wrote Lucero in an email. “My goal is to be an advocate in an organization that is dynamic, creative and involved in helping others.”
