WDSU anchor Randi Rousseau is getting a little help from her news friends in New Orleans, La.

Her husband Jonathan Serigne was recently diagnosed with cancer. He is battling Stage 4 Ewing sarcoma, a rare bone cancer typically found in pediatric patients.

He is currently getting blood transfusions and undergoing treatment in Houston.

To help him on his journey and support others who are also struggling with the disease, WDSU is hosting a blood drive at the station on Thursday.

They’re encouraging everyone to come out and help.

“If you’re around the downtown area tomorrow, come by, say hi, and feel free to leave a pint of your blood for a good cause,” Rousseau said in a post.

The drive runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
