We told you two weeks ago about Eric Fink, a reporter at Colorado Springs ABC affiliate KRDO, who was hospitalized with frostbite after a liveshot. At the time, a station told us Fink had technical problems and was concerned about the cold weather, telling producers he’d have to take his gloves off to try and resolve the issue.

Now another insider tells a different story, telling the Colorado Springs Independent “according to Eric and the producer who worked that shift, Eric never asked to come back to the station because it was cold.” The insider writes that “it is very sad that this situation has played out the way it has. Eric is a very nice man and does not deserve the negative comments posted in the comments section from several publications that reported this.”
