Leslie Spoon is returning to her roots. The Shreveport, La., native is heading to New Orleans CBS affiliate WWL as weekend sports anchor.
“I’m looking forward to the good food and warmer weather,” she told the station, when asked about her move to the Big Easy.
Spoon previously worked at Green Bay, Wis., CBS affiliate WFRV, where she covered Packers football, among other sporting events, for the past three years as weekend sports anchor.

Spoon, a longtime Saints fan, told the station she is “super excited to be back home and covering the Saints on a daily basis.”
Spoon begins her new position this Friday.
