Spectrum News Austin Gets A New News Boss

By Stephanie Tsoflias Siegel

Spectrum News in Austin and San Antonio is getting a new boss.  And she’s no stranger to news in Texas.

According to a report in Austin360, Jennifer Dodd will serve as news director for both cable stations.  She will be based in Austin.

“Jennifer brings extensive leadership, newsroom management and journalism experience to Spectrum Networks,” Alan Mason, group vice president for Spectrum News, told the paper. “I’m confident her knowledge and track record in several Texas markets will be a great fit with our talented teams in Austin and San Antonio.”

Most recently, Dodd served as news director at KYTX, the CBS affiliate in Tyler, Texas. She was also news director at KAVU in Victoria, Texas and assistant news director at KENS in San Antonio, Texas.

Spectrum News is formerly Time Warner Cable News.
