South Carolina Anchor’s Bio Wiped From Station Website a Week After Her Arrest

By Stephanie Tsoflias Siegel

TVSpy told you last week about WIS anchor Kamie Jo Roesler, who was arrested in Sioux Falls, S.D., and charged with aggravated assault after allegedly smashing a beer bottle over someone’s head.

Now, the anchor’s biography has been removed from the website of the station, which is based in Columbia, S.C.

Managers from WIS have not gone public about whether or not Roesler, who had anchored the station’s Sunrise morning newscast, remains at the station. TVSpy’s requests for comment have so far gone unanswered.

Roesler was arrested in Sioux Falls, her former market, around 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 27. Police said Roesler, a former KSFY anchor, was in the midst of a heated political argument with a man she knew when she smashed a beer bottle over his head.

The anchor is facing one count of aggravated assault, which could mean up to 15 years in prison if she is convicted.

She has not appeared on air since the arrest. Her last byline at the station was on Sept. 22, and her last post on social media was Sept. 24.
