On December 8, 2013, Christian Pike was buried with full military honors at Arlington National Cemetery. Pike was a Navy cryptologist who was killed in Afghanistan.
Jim Peters is a graphic artist who met Diana Pike, the mother of Christian Pike, at the FOX Owned station in Phoenix. Diana is now the HR director of the FOX owned station in Washington, D.C. WTTG
After Christian was killed, Peters wanted to help. He told WTTG, “I just called her up and said, “Diana, do you think it would be okay if I did a painting of your son?'”
Nearly two years to the day of learning about her son’s death, WTTG revealed to Diana the painting Peters did of her son.
