Sioux Falls Meteorologist to Testify Before Senate Committee

KELO chief meteorologist Jay Trobec is set to testify before the Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation today.

The Rapid City Journal reports Trobec is testifying at a hearing called “Weathering the Storm: How Can We Better Communicate Weather to Enhance Commerce and Safety?” as commissioner on professional affairs for the American Meteorological Society.

The Senate committee is looking into how weather information is “communicated to and used by people, businesses and governments.”
