Two anchors who have been with the Birmingham, Alabama ABC affiliate WBMA when it launched its newscast in 1996 have been let go.

Al.com reports both sports anchor Mike Raita and news anchor Linda Mays are out at the station after their contracts were not renewed.

“Yesterday (Wednesday) was my last day,” Raita told AL.com. “They did not renew my contract, which is up at the end of the month.”
