Sinclair Posts Better-Than-Expected Q2 Revenue

U.S. TV station owner Sinclair Broadcast Group Inc posted better-than-expected quarterly results, driven by growth in advertising revenue, and forecast higher broadcast revenue for the third quarter.

The company said it saw gains in nearly all of its major core advertising categories in the second quarter, with the largest growth coming from the automotive sector, which was up 46 percent.
