Sheila Gray to Join Sinclair Broadcasting as Special Correspondent

Sheila Gray, the anchor who left Cincinnati FOX affiliate WXIX last Friday, was announced today as a special correspondent for Sinclair Broadcast Group, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.

Gray will be reporting for all Sinclair’s news stations but will be based at WKEF and WRGT, the ABC and FOX affiliates for Dayton, OH, where she will also contribute breaking news coverage.

“I am very happy to have this opportunity,” said Gray in a statement. “I am looking forward to working with several colleagues I have known for many years, and becoming part of the Sinclair Broadcasting family.”

Jon Lawhead, group manager for Sinclair Broadcast Group who brought Gray to Cincinnati in 1999, said “I’ve known Sheila for years and have always had great admiration for her both personally and professionally. She brings so much skill and credibility and really connects with viewers and the community. We’re delighted that she’s joining us.”
