Seattle Station Announces February News Pre-emptions

By Kevin Eck

Seattle NBC affiliate KING is putting its move into a new facility above its need to show big ratings during a sweeps month.

Because of its planned move from its old headquarters in South Lake Union to Home Plate Center in the South of Downtown neighborhood, KING says its staff will be rehearsing with the new gear instead of airing a 7-9 a.m newscast on sister-station KONG from Monday, February 1 to Friday, February 5.

There will also be no KING 5 News at Noon the weeks of Feb. 1-5 and Feb. 8-12. This means our encore presentations at 1 p.m. on KONG will also be pre-empted.

We’ll begin broadcasting KING 5 News from our new home on Feb. 13.
