“The minute we met Brian we knew he was the right fit for the team,” said KCPQ news director Erica Hill. “He is an experienced, talented journalist and we are thrilled he is joining our winning news team.”

The weekend morning newscasts will launch Saturday September 10 and will air from 6 to 10 a.m.

Flores comes from KTVU in the San Francisco Bay Area market where he was a reporter and morning anchor.

“Brian has been a valuable member of the ‘Mornings on 2’ family and will be greatly missed, ” said KTVU news director Dana McDaniel. “We’re extremely excited for this great opportunity and wish him and his family the best of luck in the future.”
