Seattle Fox Affiliate Names Head of Digital Strategy

Tribune-owned Fox affiliate KCPQ has named Travis Mayfield the director Digital Strategy. He’ll also oversee JOEtv affiliate KZJO and CW affiliate KRCW.

“Under Travis’ guidance Q13 FOX’s website saw 200-300% year over year growth in all key digital metrics in the first year,” said Pam Pearson svp and gm of KCPQ-KZJO-KRCW. “In the second year the website saw more than 100% growth year over year in the same metrics. He has also helped to build the digital and social multiplatform strategy and as such, Q13 FOX’ social audience has tripled. We look forward to continued growth for the stations.”

Mayfield was the stations director of Audience Engagement before the promotion. He also spots digital and social trends every morning on the KCPQ morning news.

He came to KCPQ from Fisher Communications where he was director of Digital and Social Strategy. Before that, he worked as a rpeorter at KOMO in Seattle, KXLY in Spokane, KNDO in Yakima and has freelanced for HLN and ABC News Radio.
