Warren Stewart has been named news director of E.W. Scripps’ Tulsa NBC affiliate KJRH.

“In just a short time, Warren has had a positive impact on our news team, helping 2 Works for You to be more aggressive to make sure we stay true to our mission of working for our viewers,” said vp and GM Amy Calvert.

Stewart has been the station’s interim news director for the past month, replacing Mike McCardel. Before working at KJRH, he was the ep at Scripps Cleveland station WEWS. Before that, he was assistant news director at WDSU in New Orleans and started his career as a producer at WOFL in Orlando, Florida.

“I’ve only been in Tulsa a short time, and I’ve learned quickly how vibrant the community is and how dedicated this newsroom is to serving our audiences,” added Warren. “We have an impressive team of journalists who are already doing great work, and I am ready to help them extend their efforts even more.

KJRH also named a new local sales manager.

Stephanie Knight brings more than 17 years of experience in strategic planning, business development, and management of client accounts and revenue to her new position as Local Sales Manager,” read the Scripps press release. “A Tulsan for her entire life, she worked most recently as regional digital sales manager at Tulsa World, the local newspaper, and also has been a top performer at Cox Media, winning the prestigious Top Sales Manager award two times.”

“I can’t wait to lead the 2 Works for You sales team and collaborate on the creative new initiatives that are always a part of a dynamic changing business like 2Works for You,” said Knight. “It’s a competitive environment, but our sales team is eager to help our clients get the best possible value for their messages.”
