Scott Light to Join Columbus CBS Affiliate

Scott Light has been hired as an evening anchor and political reporter for WBNS in Columbus, Ohio.

The former Atlanta anchor will sit alongside Tracy Townsend for the CBS affiliate’s 5:30 p.m. Light left WGCL in June.

Light tweeted out the news Friday night, “Just thrilled to join one of the best (and most dominant!) newsrooms nationwide. No pressure. See you soon @10TV!!”

“Scott’s political acumen and journalistic standards combined with digital and social savvy makes him the right person at the right time to continue the WBNS tradition of being Central Ohio’s news leader on all platforms,” said WBNS news director Kelly Frank.
