Scott Kilbury Moving from Arizona to New York

By Kevin Eck

Scott Kilbury will be joining Rochester, NY, NBC affiliate WHEC as news anchor.

KOLD vice president and general manager Debbie Bush told TVSpy Kilbury’s last day with Tucson’s KOLD (CBS) and KMSB (FOX) was Tuesday.

“I would call Tucson home, but the irony is that from age 10-15 I lived in upstate New York,” Kilbury told the Tucson Weekly. “I’m talking to the news director and he’s telling me my mom taught at the same middle school he went to in Utica. There are all these weird connections. For the kids this is the perfect fit. But I’m going to really miss the great people in this community for all their love and support.”

Kilbury worked at KOLD for 12 years. In 2008, he made the switch from sports director to news anchor. He started his career at KPAX in Missoula, MT, and has worked at KOLN in Lincoln, NE.

His first day at WHEC is July 15.
