Sarasota’s WWSB Names Steven Soldinger VP-GM

Steven Soldinger has been named vice president and general manager of WWSB, the ABC-affiliate in Sarasota, FL. His appointment is effective immediately.

Soldinger replaces Jeff Whitson, who left the station in August to be the vice president of broadcasting for TelAmerica Media, according to Florida News Center. Ken Long has served as the station’s acting VP-GM in the interim.

Most recently, Soldinger was based in Norfolk, VA, where he was VP-GM of three stations: WUPA in Atlanta, WTOG in Tampa and WGNT in Norfolk. He has held that position since 2005.
