KMEX anchor-reporter Sandra O’Neill is heading to KVEA-Telemundo 52 in Los Angeles as the station’s newest weekend anchor. She will lead Noticiero Telemundo 52 Fin de Semana a las 6 PM y 11 PM beginning in August. O’Neill will also report for the KVEA’s dayside shows.
The station made the announcement on the heels of announcing news about a history-marking July 2018 ratings book.
According to a release, Telemundo 52 was the most-watched TV station in Los Angeles in July, regardless of language, from sign-on to sign-off, among adults 18-34, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54.
“Sandra has vast experience working in the country’s top TV markets and are certain her skills and expertise will help to strengthen our already strong news team,” Celia Chavez, president and general manager of Telemundo 52.
Prior to this, O’Neill worked at Univision 41 in New York as a reporter and anchor for the station’s morning newscast. where she received a number of Emmys.
