WFLD entertainment reporter Jake Hamilton got a harsh diagnosis from America’s sweetheart Sandra Bullock when he admitted to liking one of her least-liked films.
Bullock, Channing Tatum, Daniel Radcliffe and Brad Pitt star in the new romantic comedy The Lost City. Bullock and Radcliffe were doing a junket together to promote the film, which comes out Friday.
When the subject of sequels came up, Bullock told Hamilton “Every sequel I have done has been a disaster. So obviously you can not turn back time, as Cher likes to say.”
When Hamilton told her that he liked Speed 2, the sequel to Speed, she told him, “You have serious issues. Emotional issues.”
According to Rotten Tomatoes, Speed 2, which earned a viewer rating of 4% out of 100 on the Tomatometer, “falls far short of its predecessor, thanks to laughable dialogue, thin characterization, unsurprisingly familiar plot devices, and action sequences that fail to generate any excitement.”
