By Kevin Eck

Sandra Ali made her debut on the CBS Detroit (WWJ) morning newscast on Monday.

Ali left Detroit NBC affiliate WDIV in January after working there for 13 years.

“It is great to be here with all of you,” she said on Monday’s morning newscast. “We can’t wait to be a part of your morning routine.”

Ali will anchor from 5 to 7 a.m. weekdays alongside Kris Laudien and meteorologist Kylee Miller. She also will anchor the 7-8 a.m. streaming newscast that debuted Monday as well as the planned 8 to 9 a.m. newscast.

CBS Detroit launched its news in January.

Ali started her career at WTAJ in Altoona, Pa. She then worked at WJBK in Detroit and WLWT in Cincinnati.
