San Diego Meteorologist Announces She’s Leaving In An Instagram Post

10News meteorologist, Kristen Keogh, is saying goodbye to California.

She posted a photo on Instagram with a farewell note over the weekend.

“I will always remember San Diego as the place where I did the best journalism of my career, became a meteorologist, made some of my sweetest friendships and healed my heart. My last day at KGTV will be May 21st,” Keogh said.

The Arizona-born meteorologist said she is heading back to Phoenix to “become a freelancer and invest my time and talent in building my own dream.”

She started at the Scripps-owned ABC affiliate in 2015.  Prior to that, Keogh held a position as a reporter and spokesperson to the Attorney General in Phoenix.

I will always remember San Diego as the place where I did the best journalism of my career, became a meteorologist, made some of my sweetest friendships and healed my heart. Thanks to the many people who support me by giving me both paid work and words of support, I have finally found the courage to become a freelancer and invest my time and talent in building my own dream.
