The Arizona-born meteorologist said she is heading back to Phoenix to “become a freelancer and invest my time and talent in building my own dream.”

She started at the Scripps-owned ABC affiliate in 2015.  Prior to that, Keogh held a position as a reporter and spokesperson to the Attorney General in Phoenix.

I will always remember San Diego as the place where I did the best journalism of my career, became a meteorologist, made some of my sweetest friendships and healed my heart. My last day at KGTV will be May 21st. Thanks to the many people who support me by giving me both paid work and words of support, I have finally found the courage to become a freelancer and invest my time and talent in building my own dream. We can never predict the opportunities that may come our way, but for now, my heart wants freedom ? Oh, and Phoenix- I’m comin for ya ??
