San Antonio Forecaster Steps Down After 26 Years

KSAT‘s entertaining chief meteorologist Steve Browne made a big announcement Wednesday night.

“I have decided to retire in June. I’m going to spend time with my real family. This is my professional family,” he said.

Browne has been at the ABC affiliate in San Antonio for 26 years. His sometimes silly forecasts have received national attention. Especially the time when he licked his fingers and made a sizzling noice to show viewers how hot Phoenix was over the Summer.
