WOAI ancho Delanie Mathieu, says her family is safe but on Friday, she didn’t know that to be the case when she broke down on air Friday.

“Thank you for all your prayers, friends. And my apologies for breaking down on the air today… that was unexpected, to say the least. My dad is stubborn and decided to stay in Corpus and when the storm was upgraded to a 4, my heart sank,” the San Antonio anchor said in a Facebook post.

Mathieu’s co-anchor Randy Beamer escorted her off the desk during the broadcast. She back to work Saturday and is in Corpus Cristi today covering the President’s visit.
