Salt Lake City Fox-affiliate, KSTU, announced Sunday a new partnership with UtahPolicy.com. The website will provide the news station with its insider surveys on public policy issues. Each week the station will interact with viewers through a new political poll.

UtahPolicy.com, whose slogan is “Where political junkies get their daily fix,” describes itself as a “one-stop source for all Utah political and government news and information.” The site, directed by Bryan Schott, a long-time SLC reporter, surveys roughly 50 Democrats and 50 Republicans on matters relevant to the community.

In an interview that aired on KSTU, Schott said, “We have politicians, public policy people, people in the media, people who are really deeply involved in these public policy issues, and then we ask them a question every week, an opinion poll, two or three questions.”

KSTU, owned by Local TV LCC, broadcasts on channel 13. On Sunday night, KSTU featured their first UtahPolicy.com polls, on the subject of liquor licenses.
