Salt Lake City Anchor Arrested for DUI a Second Time

KUTV anchor Shauna Lake was arrested for driving under the influence in 2017. At the time, she pled guilty.

According to The Deseret News, it happened again over the weekend at the Salt Lake City International Airport. Lake was cited for DUI and released to another party who was able to drive her away. She wasn’t booked in jail.

Police say Lake was parked in the passenger pickup area when an airport worker called police. Lake refused a DUI test. Blood test results are expected back today.

In 2017, Lake was sentenced to 12 months of probation and was required to pay a $1,460 fine. At the time her attorney called the arrest a “wake up” for the news anchor. She later apologized on air for her behavior.

“I drank alcohol after I got off work and then I chose to get behind the wheel of my car,” she said at the time. “I’m ashamed and humiliated by my decision. It was selfish. I could have hurt someone else or myself.”
