Salt Lake Anchor Victim of Home Invasion Robbery

Kerri Cronk, an anchor at Salt Lake City Fox affiliate KSTU, was the victim of a home invasion robbery Monday afternoon. A woman armed with a crowbar forced her way inside Cronk’s home while the morning anchor was napping, and threatened family members. “She actually said if you don’t give me a car I’m going to kill you,” said Cronk’s husband, Kevin.

The woman left in the family’s car, but nobody was hurt. Police have not identified a suspect or made any arrests in the case.

Cronk believes the woman may have entered the home through an open garage door. “We have our garage down before we go to bed we lock up the house but I didn’t think about having the door locked during the day the dog goes in and out and I just feel like I’ll never make that mistake again,” she said.
