Andrea Flores is joining Sacramento NBC affiliate KCRA as a 10 p.m. anchor.

The UC Davis graduate, who last worked at KCNC in Denver as an anchor and reporter, will join Brian Heap, Mark Finan and Del Rodgers on the 10 p.m. newscast on My58.

News director Derek Schnell said Flores’ passion and knowledge of the area make her a great addition to the team.

Flores is bilingual in English and Spanish and is a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists. Before working at KCNC, Flores worked as an anchor and reporter at KMTV in Omaha, KOLN in Lincoln, Neb. and KVII in Amarillo, Texas. She started her career as a producer and news associate at KCBS and KCAL in Los Angeles.

“Northern California has always had a special place in my heart—the natural beauty is unmatched, and the people are unlike any I’ve ever met,” said Flores. “As a graduate of UC Davis, this feels like a full circle moment! Coming back to this area is like reuniting with an old friend—picking up right where I left off. I can’t wait to meet our viewers and tell their stories.”

Her first day will be Monday, Dec. 6.
