WRIC investigator Kerri O’Brien has been following the Covid-19 story closely. And she’s the reporter at the Richmond, Va., station who introduced viewers to the ins and outs of antibody testing in the area.
As part of her story, she got her own test.
According to her piece, the program manager at the testing site told her: “By doing antibody testing, we can identify, do you have antibodies? How many do you have and are you a candidate to actually use your superpower to save lives?”
Twenty-four hours later, O’Brien received the results and found out that she had tested positive for Covid-19 antibodies, meaning she had been exposed to the coronavirus and had an immune response. She was negative for a current infection, so it’s likely she had contracted the virus four to six weeks prior. O’Brien said she had zero symptoms and feels fine.
