Returning to Palm Springs, Elizabeth Beaubien Joins KMIR as Evening Anchor

By Andrew Gauthier

After departing KESQ in 2009, Elizabeth Beaubien is set to return to the Palm Springs area as an evening anchor for NBC-affiliate KMIR.

Beaubien was an anchor for KESQ from 2004 to 2009, during which time the ABC-affiliate was honored with local Emmys for its 5 p.m. newscast.  After leaving the station amid a series of newsroom shakeups, Beaubien landed at KNOE in Monroe, LA, where she’s been anchoring the station’s 5, 6, and 10 p.m. newscasts.

“We are excited to have Elizabeth Beaubien joining our KMIR6 team,” said news director Kate Glover, in announcing the move. “She is a fantastic anchor who already has a sizeable following here.”
