Scott Lewis, an investigative reporter at WXYZ, is leaving the Detroit ABC affiliate next month to pursue a career outside of the television industry.
Lewis joined WXYZ in 2010 after more than two decades at rival WJBK, the Fox O&O in Detroit. He will officially sign off from WYXZ when his contract expires on July 18.
“I want to thank Channel 7 for the great opportunity they gave me. I am very proud of the accomplishments of the Channel 7 Action News Investigators, and I will miss all of the great people who have helped me to excel,” Lewis said in a statement.
