Reporter Pleads Not Guilty to Shoplifting Charge

WTNH-TV personality Desiree Fontaine pleaded not guilty to sixth-degree larceny today and said she is “sorry” to those she has let down.

Fontaine, who appeared and entered her plea at Superior Court in Milford with her attorney, Hugh F. Keefe, said she is humbled by the support she has received since she was arrested for allegedly shoplifting last month at the Sears store at the Westfield Connecticut Post Mall.

While she pleaded not guilty, Fontaine said, “For those I may have disappointed and let down, I am very sorry.” More…
