Reporter Dave Bondy is leaving WPXI, the Pittsburgh NBC affiliate, for a gig closer to his hometown of Detroit.
Yesterday, Bondy announced that he’d accepted an anchor position at WEYI, the NBC affiliate and WSMH, the Fox affiliate, in Flint, Mich. As he wrote on his Facebook page:
I am off to my home state of Michigan to anchor at NBC25 News in Flint, MI. I will miss all of you and couldn’t have done my job so well if it wasn’t for all of your support.

Bondy spent the past five years as a reporter at WPXI. He was previously a general assignment reporter/fill-in anchor at Birmingham, Ala, Fox affiliate WBRC.
Bondy mentioned on Twitter that his official start date would be ‘later this month.’
