Courtney Godfrey, a reporter at Louisville Fox affiliate WDRB, was covering the story of a fake shooting threat at New Albany High School, when she started receiving real threats of her own.

Godfrey explained that after the piece aired, she received over 500 text messages in five minutes from a hacker, who posted ‘inflammatory things’ on her Facebook page. The hacker also tagged Godfrey in numerous posts, giving out her phone number and referring to nude photos.

“It feels very violating,” Godfrey told her colleagues.

Watch above as Godfrey talks about how she dealt with the cyber attack, and what others should do to protect themselves.
